Warriors of Indian Independence
The tales of Indian Independence are so vast and scattered that reminiscing them
often creates a sense of collectiveness and fill the eyes of every Indian with pride.
Most of these tales remind us of the unsung warriors who uplifted the ‘Tirangaa’
with their thousand hands, established ‘Swaraj’ and merrily married death.
We cannot count them; they were like stars in the sky. They suffered brutal
oppressions to make us comfortable.
Since last seven decades, we are grateful to those fearless freedom fighters who
fought furiously for freedom but weren't alive to enjoy it. From the Era of 1857,
to the Eve of Independence, during the transformation of thoughts from ‘Long
Live Britishers’ to ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ the Nation witnessed the courage of million
martyrs.
The patriotic souls of Rani Laksmibai, Mangal Pandey, Nana Saheb, Netaji,
Gurudeva, Mahamana, Deshbandhu, the Iron Man Sardar Patel, Shaheed-E-Azam
Bhagat Singh, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and the foremost of all Father of The Nation,
Mahatma Gandhi.
It is next to impossible to enlist all those fearless warriors in a piece of paper.
Moreover, their bravery shouldn't be limited to stories and tales only.
They deserve much greater reward for their sacrifices. By keeping them alive
in the thoughts and actions of more than a Billion Indian souls, especially the youth
who is somehow missing the real essence of India.
Among those warriors was Chandrasekhar Azad, who shot himself but never kneeled
down. We are born in the country where Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdeva were
hanged for being fearless. We salute Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, for bringing
worldwide support and collectivising the prisoners of war to form the
historic 'Azad Hind Fauj'. We show our respect to Sardar Patel, for unifying 565
princely states to form one big nation. We obey the ideas of non-violence (Ahimsa),
Integrity, Cleanliness, faith in ancient texts, equal treatment of all - from Rashtra Pita
Mahatma Gandhi.
There is a common saying, “The more you have, the Less you care.”
This best suites for those who are revolting even now. Yes, even after seven
decades of independence.
These are not foreigners, these are the ones, who consume India’s resources but
work as Separatists. These people are biggest threat to India's unity in diversity.
They compare themselves with the warriors of Indian Freedom. But, do they
really deserve equal status as that of the Freedom fighters?
Can a person revolting for fulfilling his desires, for getting monetary help or
gaining some power be of equal status as that of the one who is raising his
voice against the injustice and oppressions he suffers?
It was the depth of oppression which created the heights of bravery.
Now, when we have everything, we are raising our demands instead of appreciating
this precious privilege of having right to expression in a democratic republic.
Indian independence was simply the sum of all the sacrifices of thousands of such
unforgettable warriors.
It is our moral duty to ensure that their sacrifice always encourage us for nation's well
being. We pledge to commemorate their martyrdom as a festival of bravery.
We swear not to deceive country's greatness.
We swear to be a trustworthy citizen.
We pledge that neither today nor in future, we would let India’s prominence fade.
